Provided through your estate planning attorney
Your plan,kept current.Your stories,kept safe.
Legacy Guard brings your estate plan back for a 25 minute review every year, so it never goes stale. And it keeps the stories, letters, and recordings your family would otherwise lose, encrypted so that only you can open them until the time you choose.
Basic is free for every household. Complete is $149 a year. Firms pay nothing to join.

Two halves, one app
Half of it is your plan. The other half is what your family will have of you.
Your estate plan and your stories need different things. One is shared with your attorney and reviewed every year. The other belongs to you alone. Legacy Guard keeps them side by side and treats each the way it should be treated.
The Plan side
Kept current, with your firm
Shared by your household and your attorney. Reviewed every year.
- The annual review: six parts, about 25 minutes
- Your signed documents and a picture of how your plan works
- The people in your plan and what each job means
- Funding: every asset and what still needs a step
- Plan Health, milestones, the emergency card, the survivor roadmap
- Your state's rules, for all 50 states and DC
The Stories side
Kept safe, by you alone
Private to the one person who made it. Not your spouse, not your firm, not Legacy Guard.
- A guide that asks one good question at a time
- Write it, record your voice, record a video, add photos
- Letters sealed until the moment you choose
- Recipients who receive exactly what you chose, now or after you are gone
- The Legacy Organizer and a digital assets inventory
- Encrypted on your device. Verified release by two people.

A story's journey
From the moment Grandpa presses record to the day Emily opens it. Six steps, and at no point can anyone but the two of them read a word.

Waiting period, no sign of life
Two years to download
A reminder at month 20. Save everything in one click.
- 1Grandpa records a story on his phone.
- 2It is encrypted on his device before it is saved. Nobody else can open it.
- 3He chooses who receives it and when: Emily, after he is gone.
- 4Years pass. It stays sealed. Not the firm, not Legacy Guard can read it.
- 5After a reported passing, two people at Legacy Guard verify, and a waiting period passes.
- 6Emily opens it with her email. She has two years to save everything.
For families
How it works, in three steps
- 1
Your attorney adds your household
You get an email with a sign in link. No password to remember. Your firm's name and colors are on every screen.
- 2
Review your plan once a year
Six short parts, about 25 minutes. A yes never changes your plan; it tells your firm where to look, and a real person calls you.
- 3
Keep the stories only you can tell
The guide asks one good question a week. Write, speak, film, or add a photo. Choose who receives it and when.
For estate planning firms
And for the firm behind the plan
- 1
Add households, set a review date
One at a time or by CSV. Legacy Guard sends the invitation, the pre-notice, the reminder, and the follow-ups.
- 2
Read answers side by side
Both spouses' answers, differences highlighted, flags with a plain summary, and a Request a meeting trail.
- 3
Never carry the stories
Your firm sees the whole Plan side and none of the Stories side. After a passing, Legacy Guard verifies; the firm attests and never approves.

Questions
The five people ask first
Short answers, no hedging. The full list has nearly forty.
All questions and answersWhat is Legacy Guard?
Legacy Guard is an app your estate planning attorney gives you. It has two halves. The Plan side keeps your estate plan current with a short annual review. The Stories side keeps the stories, letters, recordings, and photos you want your family to have, encrypted so only you can open them until the time you choose.
How do I get Legacy Guard?
Through your estate planning attorney. Your firm adds your household, and you receive an email with a sign in link. There is no password to remember for signing in. If your firm does not use Legacy Guard yet, ask them to request a demo.
Can Legacy Guard read my stories?
No. Stories are encrypted in your browser before they are saved, with a key only your stories password can open. Legacy Guard holds scrambled text and locked keys. There is no screen and no key that shows anyone at Legacy Guard a story.
What does Complete cost?
$149 a year or $14.99 a month, with 10 GB of story storage. Complete includes everything on the Plan side and the whole Stories side.
Does the firm approve the release of stories after a death?
No, and that protects the firm. The firm can report a passing and attest to it. Two different people at Legacy Guard verify it through a checklist, a waiting period passes, and only then is anything released. The firm is never the one who decides.

Your plan, kept current. Your stories, kept safe.
A plan is only as good as the year it was last reviewed. A story is only as safe as the place it is kept. Give your family both.
